St.
Nicholas welcomes
new Youth Ministry Coordinator
Dear Parishioners,
St. Nicholas Parish is happy to welcome a new Youth Coordinator, Doctor
Penny Parzycagla. Née Kwiatkowski, Penny is is the daughter
of Ukrainian Catholic priest Father Edward Kwiatkowski and St. Nicholas Parishioner
Phyllis Kwiatkowski. Penny's brother, The Reverend Doctor Michael Kwiatkowski
is a professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine. Her
sister is Sister Michaila Kwiatkowski, Vice-General Superior of the Sisters
of St. Joseph.
Penny holds a doctoral degree in education of children (pedagogy) and thus
she is perfectly suited to work with our young people. Penny is a practicing
Ukrainian Catholic and has been attending our parish for a couple of years.
In 2003, Penny moved back to Winnipeg, where she lives with her husband Ted.
Currently she is working at a community college where she is establishing
a music degree program.
I have interviewed Dr. Penny and welcomed her on-board our parish volunteer
team. She requires our enthusiastic, prayerful and human support as she begins
to re-construct our youth program. I call upon everyone to assist her in any
way possible.
With your solidarity and Penny's generosity and expertise, the Lord will surely
bless our renewed youth ministry. Let us not hesitate to support this renewed
endeavor.
